Janeena Collins is the owner and operator of Florida Keys Coastal Products. As a girl born in West Virginia and raised in Miami, Janeena calls her background “balanced” with her country roots and Miami street smarts. She moved to the Florida Keys four years ago after a search for a weekend retreat turned into a permanent residence.
Earlier this year and after years of the hustle and bustle as a successful HR Director at a large Florida law firm, Janeena decided to take a well deserved early retirement. Between the 100+ mile daily commute to Miami from the Florida Keys to the Covid pandemic, she decided this would be a perfect time for a life change.
Janeena spent her first few weeks doing the typical “retirement” activities like boating, fishing and relaxing, she soon realized she was missing the challenge that work life had provided. She decided to build a business around what she loves most… all things coastal. If you ever had a chance to visit her home, you would quickly see and feel that relaxing coastal vibe that draws you in and surrounds you with splashing hues of aqua and turquoise.
Although Janeena had no e-commerce experience and was not sure how to set up a website, she read articles and gained enough knowledge to launch her new 
business venture. By mid May, and with very little inventory due to Covid, she officially opened Florida Keys Coastal Products.
Her envision was to share coastal décor, coastal jewelry and items that she loves to help others remember their trip to the Florida Keys or other favorite tropical getaways. Janeena wanted them to have that relaxed Keys vibe feel in their own homes and to feel like they were on a tropical vacation wearing their coastal accessories.
Florida Keys Coastal Products began to grow quickly on social media and all of its social media followers love her business’s coastal inspirations and were excited at the announcements of many new product launches.
This new-comer business is growing at a fast pace. Janeena describes her role as being a personal shopper for those that love starfish, mermaids, anchors, turtles, aqua and even food products from the Florida Keys. Janeena specializes in finding those bargains that are so hard to find so that others can share her love for all things coastal with that Florida Keys vibe.
Some non-coastal items like hearts, flowers or other items are included as well so that there is a variety for all styles. Florida Keys Coastal Products also incorporates Janeena’s own hand painted buoys that have been sold and shipped all over the US with her flamingo buoys as the best seller. Janeena and Florida
