A Day at Robbie’s

Visitors of Islamorada often find themselves clamoring to pack in as many activities as possible during their stay on the island. And it’s no wonder because Islamorada is a place where the amount of activities is as abundant as the sunshine. While the Keys are famed for their turquoise waters and certainly all that can be experienced out at sea, there is a fair amount of fun to be had on land as well.

There is one special place in Islamorada that has a decades-long reputation of not only offering the best of these activities but doing it with true Keys style. By that we mean this place epitomizes that perfect blend of exceptional hospitality, feel-good vibes and a brand of charm and uniqueness that can only be found in the Florida Keys. 1:30pm – Lunch @ The Hungry Tarpon

Robbies 12After a half day of fishing it’s time to recharge. The lunch menu at the Hungry Tarpon hits the spot with a wide variety of mid-day staples such as sandwiches and burgers along with island favorites like fish tacos and conch fritters. One of the best experiences in the Keys is having the local restaurants cook your catch. If your morning was productive, the staff at Robbie’s will break down and prepare any of the fish you’ve caught for your lunch – it doesn’t get much fresher than that. As far as the regular menu items go everything is delicious but the Islamorada Times crew has a few favorites. Staff pick: the shrimp burrito is exceptional.

2:30pm – Feed the Tarpon
