4-6pm – Tiki Tunes at Tiki Bar – the fun starts with live local music at the Tiki Bar

6-9pm – Next up, the July 4th beach festivities begin:

Beach Clean Up for World Oceans Day

Wondering how you can give back to the ocean this weekend?
@Surfrider has partnered with @LoveBeautyandPlanet to organize 27 beach cleanups across the country for #WorldOceansDay (Saturday June 8th), and there are 2 options in the Florida Keys!

The Upper Keys cleanup group will meet at Harry Harris Park in Tavernier where participants can pull trash out of mangroves either on foot or via Paddle Boards. The Lower Keys cleanup group will meet at Boca Chica Beach (both 9 am-11 am). RSVP on Facebook @surfriderfloridakeys for more information and please be sure to bring your own water bottles – this is a single-use plastic free event! (There will be refill options on site.)

“Cigars Under the Stars” Tuesday Evening March 26 7:00-9:00

  • Evening – “Cigars under the Stars” event on Nikai Sundeck featuring Chef Marc and Chef Phil Lowd (cigar/rum pairing off new cocktail menu, featured small bites by Marc and Phil)
    • Time: 7pm-9pm
    • Location:  Nikai Sundeck (weather backup TBD, possibly Mia Cucina)
    • Small Bites Menu:  It’s a surprise, but the fresh seafood along with local and exotic produce they’re working with sound so yummy!
    • Pricing:
      • $20++ per person for food tasting, all items
      • Cigars + cocktail pairings offered at menu prices (cigars should be out on display)
      • Full Nikai bar will be available as well

National Pi Day is coming to Ciao Hound at the Post card Inn

National Pi Day is coming and Ciao Hound Italian Kitchen & Bar at Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina is pulling out all the dough and toppings in celebration. On Thursday, March 14 from 5-7 p.m., Ciao Hound Italian Kitchen & Bar will offer select flatbreads for only $3.14, along with $3 glasses of wine with the purchase of a flatbread.
Ciao Hound Italian Kitchen & Bar’s flatbread selections will include the Funghi Flatbread, topped with portobello mushrooms, goat cheese and a housemade sauce, the Prosciutto Flatbread, covered in caramelized onions, balsamic tossed arugula salad and fresh-shaved parmesan, and the Rustica Flatbread, dotted with grilled chicken, oven roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and mascarpone cheese. In addition, guests can imbibe in a white or red wine, perfectly paired with each flatbread to enhance the unique and distinct flavors.

Pickle Ball at Founders Park

Founders Park has three pickleball courts available for play. The court in the outdoor fitness park (behind the Community Center) is freshly resurfaced and open for play from sunrise to sunset. The basketball court was repainted to provide two additional courts for our avid pickleball players. The multi-use court is available for pickleball from sunrise to noon and for basketball from noon to sunset. Tropical Tiki Twist on Holiday Cocktails at Islamorada Resorts

A sweet island concoction, Santa’s Little Helper consists of a 1/2 ounce of green crème de menthe and a 1/2 ounce of crème de cocoa that leaves the tastebuds jingling.
The Grinch may resemble the little green monster who loves to be naughty, but this shot most definitely made it on Santa’s nice list with the sweet ingredients of a 1/2 ounce of coconut water, 1/2 ounce of midori, a splash of Sprite and Titos.
The go-to drink for islanders looking to imbibe in the festivities, the Holiday Mojito is built with a pinch of mint leaves, lime, 1.25 ounces of raspberry rum, a splash of cranberry juice, soda water, and is decorated with candy canes.
These Santa-certified cocktails are being served at Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina’s Tiki Bar, Kokomos swim-up pool bar and signature restaurant, Ciao Hound, along with Amara Cay Resort’s signature restaurant, Reelburger.
